Dr. Kevin Mulcahy becomes interim dean of the School of the Professions, effective today, Tuesday, August 11. Dr. Mulcahy has served as chair of the Hospitality and Tourism Department for the past nine years, and oversaw the successful opening of Campus House in 2002. He has served Buffalo State in various other capacities since coming here in 1992 as associate professor of business, including chairing the Business Department.
Previously, Dr. Mulcahy served as director of graduate programs and chair of Department of Office Systems and Business Education for the College of Business Administration and Economics at California State University, Northridge. I hope you will join me in supporting Dr. Mulcahy in his new role. We look forward to the leadership he will bring to the School of the Professions.
No timetable has been established for a search for a permanent dean. Additional information will be forthcoming.
