The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) have their roots in collaboration among representatives from higher education, K–12, and community experts, so when the English Professional Learning Council set out to create rubrics based on the CCSS, it partnered with local higher education, high schools, and community groups. This 30-minute webinar will explain the process and intent behind the creation of Common Core rubrics and how they can help schools adapt to the new standards. Join us on Thursday, September 6, from 4:00 to 4:30 p.m. in the Professional Development Center, E. H. Butler Library 181B. Attendees are eligible to receive a free copy of the CCSS-aligned rubrics.
