Professional Development: Flipped Learning Summit

You are invited to attend an interactive presentation on flipped classrooms on Friday, August 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., when Buffalo State hosts the New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education's Flipped Learning Summit.

Flipped learning occurs when lecture content is delivered outside the traditional class time, often via a video that students view before coming to class. Class time is then used for active problem solving, discussions, real-life applications, and other higher-level activities. A detailed agenda of the summit is posted on the NYSCATE website.

The Faculty Development Office will sponsor a small number of faculty members to attend the conference. Sponsored faculty members will be expected to participate in a follow-up discussion with the campus learning spaces design group. Faculty will be sponsored on a first-come, first-served basis.

To register, contact Cara Angie.
