Open Education Week 2016

What are your SUNY colleagues doing with open educational resources in their classrooms? Find out more about the real-world applicability and impact of OER initiatives from SUNY faculty and librarians who are taking part in the OER transition.

Explore two opportunities today to learn more about the OER initiatives across SUNY: The Power of Open: SUNY Open Education Initiatives webinar, featuring Stony Brook University, at 11:00 a.m., and a Conversation with the FACT² OER Task Group webinar from noon to 12:30 p.m., featuring Laura Murray, from SUNY OLIS, and Tony DeFranco, chair of the FACT² OER Task Group at Tompkins-Cortland Community College.

These webinars are hosted by the SUNY Center for Online Teaching Excellence (COTE) for Open Education Week, an international event from March 7 to 11, designed to increase awareness and use of OER and other open practices. To find out more about the COTE OER webinars, visit the COTE Hub.

Open Education Week is also offering Case Studies of Faculty Open Textbook Adoption Experiences: Positive and Challenging Experiences at 3:00 p.m. This webinar is presented by California State University.
