A slight change in health insurance deduction rates will become effective July 1, 2012, for employees of the State of New York who are designated Management/Confidential or are represented by CSEA, PEF, PBANYS, or NYSCOPBA. Provisions of the 2012–2013 Executive Budget change the way the cost of reimbursing the Medicare Part B premium is shared among NYSHIP participants, resulting in a minor rate change. You will see this change in the amount deducted from your paycheck for health insurance coverage beginning July 3. The new rates can be viewed at www.buffalostate.edu/offices/hr/benefits.asp#health.
