The Equity and Campus Diversity Office is committed to providing faculty, staff, and students with a welcoming and inclusive environment where people of all backgrounds feel respected, supported, and encouraged. Our office provides our campus community with many opportunities to explore their heritage, celebrate their cultural differences and similarities, and engage in open discussion about how we all can become better citizens in a more diverse world.

This semester the Equity and Campus Diversity Office will continue its mission by introducing our Spring into Diversity program series, a unique series of programs featuring Buffalo State faculty and staff as well as various community leaders.

Please see the newsletter on our website and join us as we embrace and promote an atmosphere worthy of celebration.

Each month we will highlight and celebrate a different theme:

• February – Black History Month: Civil Rights – Inspiration, Tolerance, and Equality
• March – Women’s History Month: Women of Character, Courage, and Commitment
• April – Pride Awareness Month: Moving Forward…Proud, Strong, United
• May – Asian Pacific Islanders Heritage Month: Celebrating Asian Contributions to America
