New Signature Logos Developed; Campus Reminded to Follow Visual Identity Standards

From the Vice President for Institutional Advancement
The College Relations Office recently developed new signature logos for Buffalo State’s academic schools, departments, and centers. These logos have been approved by the President’s Cabinet.

The signature logos, which can be downloaded from the College Relations website, are a combination of the college’s official crest mark and additional official typography. The new logos provide a consistent visual identity for Buffalo State while ensuring that all audiences—both on and off campus—are aware of the breadth of programs connected to and offered by the college.

With a uniform set of logos now in place, individual departments and centers should immediately discontinue use of all unauthorized logos. The new signature logos may be featured on social media channels, print pieces, e-newsletters, invitations, and specialty items. College Relations will monitor usage and application and has been charged with removing unauthorized logos from official college communication channels.

Departments or centers that require assistance during the transition are encouraged to contact the College Relations Office, Cleveland Hall 307, at collrel@buffalostate.edu or ext. 4201.

Timothy Walsh, associate vice president for college relations, will host a series of campus presentations this semester to provide an overview of the college’s communication standards and policies, marketing strategies, and available services provided by College Relations to assist with your program’s communication efforts. Presentation dates are slated for February 19, 24, and 26 from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in Butler Library 210. Further details will be published in the Daily Bulletin.
