New Online Databases at Butler Library

Butler Library has added the following new online databases, which cover multiple subject areas:

American National Biography (Oxford)
Biographies of more than 18,000 men and women whose lives helped shape the United States. Updated semi-annually.

Asian Newspapers (ProQuest)
Provides access to more than 200 of the most respected national and regional sources of news and current affairs in Asia and the Far East. Publications include the Wall Street Journal Asia, China News, Times of India, and Bangkok Post.

Dictionary of National Biography (Oxford)
The national record of men and women who have shaped British history and culture, worldwide, from the Romans to the twenty-first century.

Early American Imprints, Series I & II
A digital library of books, pamphlets, and broadsides published in America in the period 1639–1819. Materials include fiction and nonfiction covering every aspect of American life. Based on authoritative bibliographies of Charles Evans (Series I) and Ralph R. Shaw and Richard H. Shoemaker (Series II).

U.S. Northeastern Newspapers (ProQuest)
Features top newspapers, wires, broadcast transcripts, blogs, and news sites in full-text format, including regional titles such as the Buffalo News and the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.
