The State University of New York Board of Trustees appointed Dr. John B. Clark interim chancellor of the State University of New York on Thursday. Clark succeeds Chancellor John R. Ryan, who steps down today to become president and CEO of the Center for Creative Leadership. Clark will serve through December 31, 2007, or until the board concludes a national search for a permanent chancellor. He will not be a candidate for the permanent position.
