The Buffalo State University community is saddened by the death of Joseph S. Zingaro, professor emeritus of chemistry, who died June 2, 2023. Dr. Zingaro joined the campus in 1958 and retired in 1990. He was predeceased by his wife and daughter, and is survived by three children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held today, June 7, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Mesnekoff Funeral Home, 8630 Transit Road, East Amherst, NY 14051, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Chapel in Swormville, New York.
