Lecture: Rethinking Rust Belt Cities

Catherine Tumber, author of Small, Gritty, and Green: The Promise of America’s Smaller Industrial Cities in a Low-Carbon World (MIT Press, 2012), will present a free lecture on Thursday, July 12, at 7:00 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney Art Center.

This is the first event in a series sponsored by the Partnership for the Public Good, Buffalo First, the Oishei Foundation, and the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo to boost local enterprise development through direct, practical exchange with leading experts and innovators in the twenty-first-century economy. Over the next year, this series of public forums will bring to Buffalo uniquely relevant expertise and dialogues with local entrepreneurs, the business and financial community, educators, and civic and community leaders.
