Lecture - 'Diversity Is Not Enough: A Fantastic Voyage through the Language of Racial Inequality' - April 6

As part of the Black Cross Project at Buffalo State, Zandria Robinson, assistant professor of anthropology and sociology at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, will present "Diversity Is Not Enough: A Fantastic Voyage through the Language of Racial Inequality" on Wednesday, April 6, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in Bulger Communication Center South. Robinson is a well-known scholar and author whose interests lie within gender studies, critical race theory, and social movements. Her recent publications include This Ain’t Chicago: Race, Class, and Regional Identity in the Post-Soul South (University of North Carolina Press, 2014) and Repositioning Race: Prophetic Research in a Post-Obama Age (SUNY Press, 2014).

All faculty, staff, students, and community members are invited to the lecture and the Q&A session that follows. This Black Cross Project event is made possible through sponsorship provided by the Grant Allocation Committee, the Faculty-Student Association, the Equity and Campus Diversity Minigrants Program, and the Woods-Beals Endowment.
