Join the Movement against Depression and Suicide on College Campuses

The Buffalo State Counseling Center will join with thousands of people nationwide to participate in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's Out of the Darkness Community Walk to benefit the AFSP, and we want you to join our team. Walk in this event to help raise funds and awareness about suicide prevention. In the United States, a person dies by suicide every 15 minutes. Suicide claims more than 36,000 lives each year.

The AFSP is at the forefront of research, education, and prevention initiatives designed to reduce loss of life from suicide. Please join our team by clicking on the link below and come out to support this event in Delaware Park north (near the Buffalo Zoo) on Saturday, September 15. The walk begins at 10:30 a.m. If you can’t join us on the walk, please consider supporting a participant in this event. Any contribution will help the work of AFSP, and all donations are 100 percent tax deductible. Click here to join the Buffalo State Counseling Center Team and to support this worthy cause. Let's walk together!

For more information, please call the Counseling Center at ext. 4436.
