Intellectual Foundations Program Revision Update

From the Chair of the College Senate
The final Intellectual Foundations program revision proposal from the Senate Intellectual Foundations Oversight Committee (SIFOC), which is called Option C, has recently been submitted to the College Senate Curriculum Committee (CSCC) for review. It is also available for your review on the College Senate website.

The CSCC is currently considering SIFOC's proposal and will present its own IF proposal for initial debate at the April 13 College Senate meeting. This proposal will be shared with the campus as soon as it becomes available, which will be shortly before the April 13 Senate meeting. It is anticipated that the CSCC proposal will come up for a vote at the May 11 Senate meeting. If the proposal is endorsed by the Senate and approved by the president, it will be implemented in fall 2013. You are encouraged to contact your senator(s) with your feedback concerning either proposal and to attend an open forum on Thursday, April 26, during Bengal Pause (12:15 to 1:30 p.m.) in Bulger Communication Center East 2.
