Beazley reports that fake offers make up 81 percent of social media scams. Clicking on that link often takes you to a malware-infected website. Be vigilant. Be on the lookout for scams. Don’t like or follow any account that is managed by an unknown entity. Beware of phishing messages through social media, even when they seem to come from your friends. Remember, while you are a target, you can choose to be a shield. Be aware.
