We’ve posted a lot lately about information security awareness related to electronic records, accounts, and communication. This is to remind us all that we also need to consider privacy in verbal conversation and paper files. If you’re out with a colleague and find yourself discussing an employee or student, be aware that someone may overhear your conversation. Before you print out your Banner roster, ask yourself, do I really need a print copy? Mumbling your password as you type it into your ATM? Mum’s the word.
