'Up Heartbreak Hill' - A Beyond Boundaries: Dare to Be Diverse Film and Discussion Presentation - April 14

Please join us for a screening of the film Up Heartbreak Hill, part of the Beyond Boundaries: Dare to Be Diverse film and discussion series, on Thursday, April 14, at 7:00 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney Art Center: The film is free and open to the public and will be followed by a panel discussion. Panel members are Scott Sackett, PBS documentary producer; Agnes Williams of Indigenous Women's Initiatives; and Brandon van Every, president of the Buffalo State Native American Student Organization.

Up Heartbreak Hill, a 2012 film directed by Erica Scharf, chronicles one fateful year in the lives of two talented kids who must figure out not only how to become young adults but also what it means to be both Native and modern.

The Equity and Campus Diversity Office is partnering with the Communication Department and the Burchfield Penney Art Center to feature this film and panel discussion.
