Thomas C. Perry has provided support for the Social Work Department's foster youth computer camp, a collaborative project that will provide 15 foster youth with the chance to learn computer skills and be presented with a personal computer, and will put them on a more level educational field with their non-foster-care peers. The camp will be offered over one weekend on campus and will provide the youth with access to home computers within a real-world context of seeking employment, building skills for independence, and creating a supportive peer network. Buffalo State students will mentor the camp participants.
