The Professional Development Center will present the workshop Authentic Assessment on Tuesday, November 10, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in Butler Library 181B.

What are authentic assessments and how can they help students develop real-world skills? This workshop will cover the characteristics and benefits of authentic assessments, explore examples of authentic assessments, and provide an authentic assessment checklist that can be used to guide the development of authentic assessments for courses. The instructor will be available for an additional 30 minutes after the workshop for further questions and discussion.
