I am pleased to announce that Timothy Ecklund, associate vice president for housing and auxiliary enterprises, has accepted the position of dean of students and assistant vice president for student affairs at Stony Brook University. He will begin his new position October 23. Ecklund has contributed to the growth of occupancy on campus through the development of programs in the areas of residence life, student life, and auxiliary services. With Ecklund's departure, Kris Kaufman, director of housing, will assume the duties previously overseen by Ecklund in the area of housing, and Daniel Vélez, associate vice president for student success, will assume those duties in the area of auxiliary enterprises.

Please join with me in thanking Dr. Ecklund for his many accomplishments during his 17 years of service to Student Affairs and Buffalo State.
