WORLD HISTORY AND GLOBAL AWARENESS
ANT 361 Anthropology of Food. Prerequisite ANT 101. Anthropology of food; the production, distribution, and consumption of food in a range of cultures and contexts; food as cultural heritage; history and use of domesticated and wild foods (plants and animals); cultivation of food; organization of labor; scales of production from local gardens through industrialization; memory and politics of food and its distribution from a global standpoint. Offered every other year, beginning fall 2023.

Course Revision:
ENG 362 Children’s Literature (formerly ENG 260 Children’s Literature). Prerequisite CWP 102. Introduction to children’s literature with an emphasis on fiction and nonfiction, both classic and contemporary. Offered every semester, beginning fall 2023.

Course Revision with General Education 2023 Designation:
HUMANITIES
HUM 100 Introduction to the Humanities. Introduction to the disciplines of the humanities, with emphasis on how human beings have sought to give meaning to their lives through philosophical and creative expression. The relevance of humanistic thinking to ongoing contemporary issues. Offered every semester, beginning summer 2023.
