The following have been received in the College Senate Office and forwarded to the College Senate Curriculum Committee review:

New Programs:
Minor in Drafting for Interior Design and Architecture, SAH
Minor in Interior Design Studies, SAH
Minor in Mechanical and Digital Technologies for Interior Design, SAH

New Course:
MUS 665 Methods of Early Childhood Music and Movement. Prerequisite: Instructor permission. Methods used to guide young children’s music and movement development within a wide variety of early childhood music education settings. Required field placement activities of approximately 12–15 hours support course objectives. Offered annually.

New Course and Intellectual Foundations Designation:
HUMANITIES
PHI 111 Ethics for Scientists. Introduction to philosophical ethics with special emphasis on issues pertaining to science. Ethical theories and ethical implications of scientific discoveries. Evolution and ethics, human nature, the fact-value distinction. May include selected topics in applied ethics, e.g., personhood, environmental ethics, bioethics. Offered annually.

Course Revisions and Intellectual Foundations Designations:
ARTS
DAN 224 Dance Appreciation. Examination of the cultural and aesthetic values of dance. Analysis of the purpose, creative process, genres, and styles of the art form. Requires attendance at a live dance performance. Offered every semester.

WESTERN CIVILIZATION
ENG 380 History of the Printed Book. Prerequisite: CWP 102 or equivalent. Analysis of the printed book as a physical, historical, social, aesthetic, and cultural object. Requires original bibliographical research. Offered every other year.
