The following has been received in the Buffalo State Senate Office and forwarded to the Curriculum Committee for review:
New Course:
EDU 560 Nurturing Leadership and Social Emotional Learning in a Classroom Community. Prerequisite: Graduate standing. Understanding the nature of student leadership and how teachers can foster social emotional learning (SEL). Developing awareness of tools and strategies to develop leadership skills and foster SEL in K–12 students. This course helps teachers develop the mindset, skill set, and tool set to create a learning environment where all students can comfortably learn and grow.
