The following was received in the College Senate Office by November 15 and will be forwarded to the College Senate Curriculum Committee for review on November 22:

Course Revision:
SOC 299 Social Statistics. Prerequisite: SOC 100. Overview of the major statistical concepts necessary for sociological research and analysis of social data.  Introduction to statistical software and methods to analyze social data. Topics include database construction, database management, descriptive statistics, probability, inferential statistics, statistical association, and data presentation. Computer assignments, interpretation of statistical results, calculations and logic behind statistics. Required for sociology majors.
