Chase Hall Windows to Be Replaced Beginning Monday

As was announced in late May, the windows on Chase Hall will be replaced as part of Buffalo State’s ongoing efforts to address critical maintenance needs. Work is scheduled to begin Monday, June 25, where office windows will be replaced.

As part of this project, asbestos-containing caulk will be removed and abated from window openings. Work will be conducted by a contractor and monitored by an independent consultant to ensure that abatement operations are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Windows and caulk will be removed and replaced from the exterior after the window openings have been enclosed in plastic from the interior. Plastic will remain on each window for about three days.

Workers will need to enter Chase Hall interior spaces to make preparations. We appreciate the assistance and cooperation of Chase Hall occupants in providing workers with the necessary access. In addition, we ask building occupants to please move objects away from windows and clear off window sills. Minor disruptions during the project may include noise, vibrations, and dust.

Please refer to www.buffalostate.edu/construction for further information about current and upcoming construction on campus. Questions about this project can be directed to vpfm@buffalostate.edu. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.
