Campus Wayfinding: Pathways, Streets, and Quads

From the Vice President for Finance and Management
As part of Buffalo State’s comprehensive new wayfinding program, campus map nomenclature has changed.

Quads and roadways are newly named and will be used as landmarks to aid in orientation. The quad formerly known as Rockwell Quad, defined by Rockwell, Bacon, and Ketchum halls and the Donald Savage Building, is now the Horace Mann Quad. The quad formerly known as the Student Union Quad, formed by the Campbell Student Union, Bulger Communication Center, Butler Library, and Cleveland Hall, is now called the Plaza.

The primary pedestrian pathways across campus are now named Bengal Walk and Rockwell Walk. Bengal Walk is the sidewalk that runs from Grant Street to the Plaza. Rockwell Walk is the sidewalk that runs from Elmwood Avenue and Rockwell Road to the Plaza.

Please visit the Finance and Management and Corbin Design websites for more information, or e-mail vpfm@buffalostate.edu with any questions.
