Buffalo Niagara Ambassador Awards: April 20

The Buffalo State College community is invited to attend the 22nd annual Buffalo Niagara Ambassador Awards event on Wednesday, April 20, at 5:30 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney Art Center's Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Auditorium. The Buffalo State Hospitality and Tourism Department will honor three local industry professionals and present awards to outstanding students in the program. On this special night, hospitality students, supported by department faculty and staff, demonstrate their knowledge and talents as they present a menu of international cuisine and attractive wine pairings to all our guests.

This year's Ambassador Award recipients are community leaders who uphold the highest level of service standards and provide strong examples for our hospitality student managers. This year’s honorees are David Anastasi, partner at Lake Effect Sales and Marketing; Therese Forton-Barnes, owner of Events to a Tee; and Joseph Heary, executive director of Friends of Night People Inc.

Following the awards ceremony, enjoy a reception of haute cuisine–inspired stations with paired wines at Campus House.

Reservations are required. Please call Krista Constantino, Campus House guest service manager, at 878-3300, for more information.
