Asbestos Abatement in E. H. Butler Library

Beginning Monday, July 16, E. H. Butler Library will undergo an asbestos-abatement project to remove floor tile in several areas of the building and replace it with new tile. The Creative Studies balcony will be closed, but books from this collection have been temporarily relocated to the third-floor Northeast Quadrant. Reference books are now permanently housed on the third-floor Northwest Quadrant. The Emeriti Room will not be available during the abatement. One corridor on the second floor and one on the third floor will be closed for abatement, but everything on the upper floors will be accessible, including all book quadrants and CyberQuad. Routes to various areas of the building may be slightly altered; please ask library staff for assistance if you aren't sure how to reach your destination. With questions or concerns, please contact Donna Davidoff, ext. 6301.
