Meghan E. B. Pereira, Senior Instructional Designer, Instructional Resources

Meghan E. B. Pereira, senior instructional designer in Instructional Resources, has received the 2015 Campus Access Award from the New York State Disability Services Council. This statewide award recognizes a non-disabilities services person, department, or alumnus on a New York State campus who has promoted or provided outstanding access to the campus’s disability community. Pereira was lauded for her work on campus and throughout SUNY to assist the Buffalo State Disability Services Office in the provision and delivery of materials to all students at Buffalo State. Her work with faculty members to implement a more universal design framework for instructional materials, to identify accessibility resource liaisons, and to developing training modules has been critical in advancing and promoting accessibility at Buffalo State. Pereira also continues to increase awareness of accessibility needs within the instructional design community throughout SUNY with presentations and other symposiums that promote campus responsibility for access and instructional readiness. She will receive the award at the NYSDSC Spring Conference Luncheon in Canandaigua, New York, on June 25.
