A paper by Daniel Cunningham, professor of mathematics, "Strong Partition Cardinals and Determinacy in K(R)," has been accepted for publication in the Archive for Mathematical Logic. This refereed journal publishes research papers in set theory and mathematical logic. Cunningham's paper establishes that the axiom of determinacy is equivalent, in the inner model K(R), to the existence of strong partition cardinals.
